Jakeena Sweet, LMSW, BSW

Founder and President of Fort Worth Families United, Inc.

Jakeena has demonstrated a passion for childcare since age 16 years old. She was introduced to childcare by experiencing her mother’s home daycare. Jakeena pursued employment at a local childcare center directly after high school graduation. She later accepted the opportunity to teach at a local head start center for 6 years. Jakeena became heavily intrigued with teaching children to master developmental skills based on evidenced based assessments and interventions. Throughout her time working in childcare, she recognized the impact on a person’s life when they’ve experienced quality early childhood education. Over time, Jakeena pursued undergraduate and graduate studies in Social Work. Jakeena is a member of Leadership Fort Worth Edge cohort 2024 and is Board Build Certified. All the while, Jakeena knew for sure her purpose in life was to provide quality childcare. This goal was so embedded in her thoughts daily she began to prepare for building the childcare business plan years in advance. Every idea associated with Jakeena’s business plan was guided by scripture.  Jakeena established International Kids Academy, Inc. in 2019.  Jakeena currently masters the position as Community Outreach Director of International Kids Academy Inc.  Today, Jakeena has the privilege to walk into International Kids Academy Incorporated and witness at risk children and children not at risk share the same quality education.

Brisha Holleman, Director of Childcare

Vice President of Fort Worth Families United, Inc.

My name is Brisha Holleman, and I am the proud mother of three wonderful sons. I was raised in Amarillo, Texas, and later relocated to Beaumont to pursue my bachelor's degree, which I completed in 2021. I am completing my MBA with specialization in Leadership at Lamar University. One of my greatest joys comes from making a positive impact on the lives of young people. My passion for education began in my childhood.  I would enthusiastically pretend to teach my Barbies and stuffed animals. This passion never subsided and carried over into my adult interests, which led me to pursue a career in education.  I then secured a lead teacher position and was later promoted to Director at International Kids Academy, Inc.  What I cherish most about my role is the opportunity to nurture my creativity as a child. I attribute my ability to pursue these endeavors to my faith in Jesus Christ, who serves as my foundation.
